Job Description

SCOPE: The Finance Manager reports to the COO and is responsible for providing financial and administrative services which will include accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, Bank Reconciliation, financial reporting, file maintenance, administrative filings, and other duties as described. The Finance Manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining budgets for up to 15 different funding sources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Finance Manager will perform the day to day processing of all financial transactions in the accounting system in place. Will oversee the full-time, Fiscal Coordinator.

Accounts Receivable-The Finance Manager will prepare invoices in a timely and accurate fashion for all grants outstanding in accordance with the grant terms. Collection of rents due will also be performed at the beginning of each month. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for obtaining payment on any overdue invoices. Grant files will be maintained and kept up to date. Any requests for documentation or information from a grant source will be answered in a timely and accurate manner. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for assisting any grant agency with the annual audit they may request.

Accounts Payable-The Finance Manager will review, input, and pay any vendor invoices or payment requests as made according to CTC purchasing procedures. All vendor files will be maintained in an orderly and up to date fashion.

Payroll-CTC employees are paid on a semimonthly payroll. The Finance Manager will report to the payroll service all hours worked and will process the payroll in accordance with the third party vendor requirements. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for generating the correct journal entries to ensure that the payroll is correctly allocated and accounted for as well as distribute the paychecks and monitor any leave balances.

Bank Reconciliation-The Finance Manager will be responsible for reconciling the bank accounts on a monthly basis.

Financial Reporting-The Finance Manager will prepare at the request of the Fiscal Officer the financial reports necessary for the Treasurer of the Board. This will include, but not be limited to, the Profit Loss Statement and Balance Sheet. The Finance Manager shall also have the knowledge necessary to create any ad hoc reports requested by the Fiscal Officer or the Treasurer on an as-needed basis.

Administrative Filings-The Finance Manager will prepare any registrations, annual filings, or responses to governmental agencies as they are received. This will include Form 1099 filing. Duties and responsibilities include the principal functions of the job. The job description may not be a complete listing of all miscellaneous, incidental or other duties that may be assigned during normal operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Five (5) years accounting experience.
  • QuickBooks Premier or QuickBooks for Nonprofits experience required.
  • Computer literacy including WORD and EXCEL.
  • Organized and Analytical.
  • Knowledge of and ability to produce financial statements/analysis.
  • COVID19 vaccination and required boosters.
  • Critical thinking.
