Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Improvement (QI) Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Quality Assurance Specialist and the effective oversight of Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County’s contract and grant awards for behavioral health services.
The QI Supervisor is responsible for monitoring, auditing and training in all areas of compliance related to behavioral health programming and assists with developing, implementing and conducting quality improvement activities.
The QI Supervisor will serve as the liaison between the funding agencies and the department/unit in regard to contract performance matters and is responsible for monitoring unit productivity to ensure that all terms of funding are met.
The QI Supervisor will work in partnership with program managers/directors to ensure ongoing compliance with all contractual terms and conditions specified by the awarding agency/funder.
Primary Areas of Responsibilities:
Conducts internal audits to monitor the agency’s compliance with all behavioral health contracts and grants requirements and provides recommendations to CCSCC staff regarding the development of corrective action plans through the provision of quantitative and qualitative summary reports to staff on all contracts and grants audited.
Provides training, technical assistance, and support to agency staff to ensure delivery of quality services, and effective contract management to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Researches and stays up to date on all federal and state laws and regulations to develop and implement quality improvement strategies.
Analyzes, updates, and modifies standard operating procedures and processes to continually improve behavioral health services and operations.
Gathers and evaluates clinical program data and analyzes the data for patterns and trends in service delivery and performs follow-up evaluations of data and program performance to ensure consistent improvement.
Facilitates staff training to improve clinical documentation to substantiate medical necessity of services and facilitate accurate coding for billing purposes.
Assists in the development and implementation of quality improvement plans in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the organization, applicable laws, regulations and accreditation standards.
Participates in site visit preparation and execution by regulatory and accreditation agencies and leads, facilitates, and advises internal quality improvement teams and actively participates on or facilitates Quality Improvement committees.

Assists with the development, implementation, monitoring, and overall coordination of internal control procedures related to grant administration to ensure compliance.
Assists with training program staff associated with contract and grant implementation, management and reporting on compliance.
