A successful Accountant I combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Primary responsibilities include ensuring that assigned programs’ revenue and expense streams are recorded in accordance with GAAP and CCSCC’s standards. The position is responsible for accounts payable, assigned general ledger reconciliations and part of month-end closing process including accounting for various governments, corporate and private foundation grants and restricted contributions of the assigned division and programs. This includes working collaboratively across the organization to ensure all grant and restricted funds are properly spent, accounted for, and reported. The position is also responsible for assisting Program Managers and Accounting Supervisor/Controller on program’s internal and external budget and incorporates in the financial and budget modules. This role reports to the Accounting Supervisor, with a dotted line to the Controller and CFO.
