Under the direction of the Program Director, the Client Support Specialist will be primarily responsible to assist with linkage to resources and mental health services, and prevention outreach in both group and individual settings to Transition-Aged Youth 16-24. The Client Support Specialist will also provide direct service provision to assigned youth to support independent living skills, and referrals/ linkage to basic needs and resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides intake and assessment services.
Provides outreach services to homeless and unstably housed youth.
Assists with prevention services including individual, group and community activities.
Services as an appropriate role model for youth.
Co-facilitates groups related to skills development, substance use, etc.
Designs and engages youth in activities to destigmatize mental health services. • Advocates for youth. • Accesses community resources to meet the needs of youth.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Lived experience related to mental health, runaway/ homeless youth and/or substance use required.
Experience working with culturally diverse youth required.
Availability in the evenings and occasionally on weekends is requirement for the position.
