The mission of Parisi House on the Hill is to end the cycle of drug and alcohol dependence of our clients, all of whom are mothers. We are Santa Clara County’s first mother-and-child residential alcohol and drug treatment facility, allowing mothers to focus on their six-month treatment program without the emotional distress caused when separated from their children. We provide living facilities for 20 mothers and 22 children who have made the choice to end the cycle of substance abuse. The position The part time (20 hours per week, exact schedule to be determined) Compliance Specialist has overall responsibility to ensure that Parisi House consistently meets regulatory requirements for Drug Medi-Cal documentation, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and the County contract, as well as County and Parisi House policies and procedures. This position may work from a remote home office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Compliance Specialist reviews all documentation for timeliness, accuracy and completeness for Drug Medi-Cal compliance.
This position creates, implements, and monitors procedures to ensure compliance and provides staff training as needed.
The Specialist works closely with other members of staff to correct inaccurate or incomplete information and reports issues and documentation recommendations to the Program Director.
In addition, the Specialist tracks compliance with contracts, policies and procedures and client survey data.
The Compliance Specialist participates in required County meetings, conferences, trainings, and webinars.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in health care-related compliance tracking, databases, and clinical documentation accuracy.
Proficiency in electronic health records systems. Excellent time management, strong attention to detail and proactive communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desired qualifications Prior experience with Drug Medi-Cal regulations and compliance, compliance tracking.
Knowledge of relevant federal, state and county guidelines related to residential SUD treatment. Prior experience with Welligent and the Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Care System.
