The Credentials Specialist is responsible for coordinating the credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging processes of Medical, Allied and Behavioral Health Providers. Partner with the HR and QI teams for all clerical aspects of credentialing services to meet health plan, HRSA, and organizational requirements and for maintaining accurate and up to date provider information.
Responsibilities:
Initiate the credentialing and re-credentialing process utilizing the Credentialing database (Credential Stream by Verity Stream)
Verify authenticity of documents and information provided and accurately load provider information in the Credentialing database
Contact providers for information and follow up to advance through the credentialing process
Complete the initial enrollment of new providers with insurance plans

Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of Credentialing and Privileging procedures
One or more years’ experience working in credentialing and provider enrollment field
Experience working with credentialing software such as Verity Stream
High level of attention to detail
