The Economic Empowerment Employment Coordinator works in the Economic Empowerment Program along with the Economic Empowerment team to ensure that Sacred Hearts members accessing employment resources acquire quality career and employment services. This position requires building and nurturing relationships with members coming in for resources, members volunteering, employers and/or community groups and organizations aimed at providing meaningful linkages between SHCS and the community.
The Economic Empowerment Program Coordinator will oversee the employment programming in the resource area, recruit and support a committee of volunteer employment coaches/leaders that provide support at the resource desk, provide employment coaching, facilitate skills-building classes, support job fairs and other employment programming. The Employment Coordinator works with the employment committee to develop action plans to reach program goals and work towards finding solutions to economic systemic barriers for all SHCS members that access the EE program. The EE Employment Coordinator will be an active thought partner in the programs’ continued goal of leadership engagement and development within the program. The EE Employment Coordinator will contribute to fulfilling the agency's vision and mission agency-wide, in the Self-Sufficiency Department and Economic Empowerment programs.
