Support the organization, set up, maintenance and cleanup of the Food Pantry, Bread Room, storage containers inside and outside refrigerator and freezer units to ensure safety of these areas and equipment.
Support the daily distribution of food boxes.
Assist Food Pantry Coordinator in executing all food handling procedures.
Support the Food Pantry Coordinator in managing of documents and paperwork, including food inventory and food log sheets.
Assist Food Pantry Coordinator in preparing and submitting daily/weekly reports.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
Fork Lift Certified preferred or must have the ability to get certified upon being hired.
Properly use hand-trucks or pallet jack for all heavy items
Basic administrative skills including, but not limited to computer literate in Microsoft Office, filing, phone and email, use of office machines, record keeping and data entry.
Self -motivated with the ability to see what needs to be done and to follow through until all work is satisfactorily completed. Follow through on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, knee and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis
• Ability to grasp, push and pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers and reach overhead
• Ability to operate a telephone
