PHP is looking for candidates like you for the newly created position of Advocacy/Civic Participation Manager. You will be the primary person at PHP to empower and mobilize parents in their efforts to promote positive system change for individuals with special needs. Train a small cohort of parents to be leaders in the parent movement. Analyze current issues facing families and in coordination with the leadership team determines policy priorities. Mobilize hundreds of parents to become “one minute advocates” by making a phone call to an elected representative, signing a change.org petition, etc. Work successfully with diverse parents, especially those who are low income or non-English speakers.
