The Program Associate (PA) provides administrative and program-related support to the Foundation’s Community and Opportunity (C&O) team. The C&O program focuses on four areas: building community power in San Jose, organizational effectiveness for grantees across the Foundation, journalism, and the CEO Fund. This is a relatively entry-level position, with opportunities to learn and grow in the role. Candidates are not expected to have experience in all areas listed in the job posting.
This position is an opportunity to learn about place-based grant making, organizational effectiveness, and philanthropy.
The primary responsibilities of the PA are to:
Serve as the first point of contact for grantees and grant seekers.
Work closely with the Grants Management (GM) team to ensure that grant making adheres to the Foundation’s grant making and contracting policies, procedures, and deadlines.
Provide administrative support to the PO and the PD, ranging from calendaring to research.
