Located downtown San Jose, Bill Wilson Center’s Drop In Center (DIC) is a one-stop location where staff provide outreach, basic needs, case management, behavioral health services, housing resources, crisis management, employment and education assistance to transition age youth (18-24). We are searching for a Program Manager to provide supportive leadership and ensure a welcoming and supportive space for homeless street youth by performing the following duties: • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws (interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; teambuilding; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems). Supervise and train volunteers and interns • Develop, coordinate, plan and implement Drop In Center services for homeless street youth including outreach, basic needs, case management, behavioral health services, crisis management, employment and education assistance, advocacy and housing assistance • Review DIC program contracts and ensure all fiscal and programmatic requirements are met • Responsible for ensuring DIC operates within fiscal requirements, reviews budgets and other financial reports. Ensures financial reports and documentation is submitted in a timely fashion. • Participates in strategic planning, operations and other agency meetings as appropriate • Represents the agency in the community and interacts with funders, donors, government officials • Public speaking engagements to increase awareness of DIC programs and services or advocate for youth • Serves as liaison with other community agencies as well as other BWC Program Managers to ensure all needs of youth are met • Responsible to ensure that staff maintain client records including EHR, statistical data and all other required documentation adhering to policies, procedures and timelines • Review and analyze program data and outcomes; prepare reports as required for contracts and other agency dashboards • Participate in Program Quality Improvement (PQI) process • Proactively monitor cleanliness of all DIC program areas and report maintenance concerns to Facilities Manager. Responsible for oversite of BWC-owned DIC vehicle and ensure system for safety check, cleanliness and reporting of any repair needs to Facilities Manager • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: (B.A.) in Social Work or related field plus 2 years of relevant experience (MA/MSW preferred). Experience in program planning and supervision of staff. Knowledge of mental health issues affecting transition age youth. Minimum two years’ experience managing a homeless/street youth program, preferably in a drop in center setting or street outreach, highly desired. Valid California driver's license with access to a personal vehicle with current insurance that can be used for company business.
