CLSEPA seeks a full-time, temporary attorney from November 2021 to April 2022 to represent clients in litigation and administrative proceedings on a range of economic advancement issues with its EAP team. The attorney can focus on one or more of the three areas of practice: workers’ rights, reentry, or consumer law. The attorney will work on current, pending matters, and provide advice and information to clients about their rights. In Silicon Valley, communities of color, especially Latinx communities, and other low-wage workers are facing a crisis of evictions, financial insecurity due to the pandemic, and barriers to family unity due to immigration-related challenges. CLSEPA is a legal services non-profit that combines policy advocacy and impact litigation with direct legal services. We specialize in housing, immigration, and economic advancement. Our legal advocates work side-by-side with low-income communities, predominately communities of color in East Palo Alto and the Peninsula, to bring about lasting change.
