As a Temporary, Full-Time Office Clerk, you will work collaboratively with the Site Director, Assistant Director, and program instructors to run BGCP’s expanded learning time program in partnership with the Redwood City School District. The program is designed to give students targeted academic support, enrichment activities, and homework assistance to improve their school outcomes and interest in learning. The program relies on skilled, energetic staff members who are positive role models. BGCP staff members are individuals committed to youth development, dedicated to quality service, and capable of building positive relationships with youth.
What will you do?
Administrative & Site Management Manage the BGCP office and associated operations during program hours
Greet, monitor, and track all members and visitors on campus, including parents and volunteers
Manage student sign-in and sign-out process
Answer all phone calls and return messages in a timely manner
Manage office, first aid, and program supply inventories
Ensure that the office is neat and organized and fosters physical and emotional safety and customer service
Create a positive work atmosphere and foster teamwork and constructive exchange of ideas with peers
Manage daily snack process
Participate in planning and executing special events and field trips as needed
What qualifications and requirements are needed?
Spanish fluency is a plus
Keen attention to detail and ability to create systems for efficiency and effectiveness
Maturity and strong communication skills
Energy, leadership skills, strong initiative, ability to motivate through positive reinforcement
Positive attitude, team player, strong customer service orientation
