Giving Guide

The SVCN Giving Guide is published for the first time this year in an effort to help donors, wealth managers, and tax planners make a bigger difference in considering philanthropic gifts. Each year, we remain inspired by the work of our local nonprofits that demonstrate daily how to create change. As part of our inaugural Giving Guide, we have highlighted 11 distinct agencies that focus on key issues this year including food, housing, and women, followed by a complete list of all SVCN member nonprofit organizations.

The year-end holidays are a time of reflection that inspire many people to reach out to those who are in need. To qualify for a tax deduction in the current calendar year, donors also must make their yearly giving decisions by December 31st. As a result, a tremendous amount of charitable giving occurs between #GivingTuesday, which is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and the end of the year.

Our organizations welcome donations through Donor Advised Funds (DAF) which provide an easy, flexible, low-cost method of giving. These gifts are essential parts of the lasting changes our organizations make in Silicon Valley and beyond.

We wish you nothing but the best in all of your charitable endeavors this holiday season. Happy Holidays from SVCN!
