About the Role
GENERAL NATURE OF POSITION:
FFA Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the Refugee Foster Care (RFC) Program operation and services are consistent with Agency, State, Federal and licensing standards and requirements. They are also the acting agent overseeing the correction of deficiencies that threaten the general welfare and safety of the children in the licensed resource family home. In addition, the FFA Administrator oversees the licensing of Resource Families and collaborates closely with the Division Director, Refugee Foster Care.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field from an accredited college or university. In addition, the administrator shall have demonstrated ability and leadership through a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of child or family services, two (2) years of which have been in an administrative or managerial position. Interim Licensing Standards (ILS) 88264
- A minimum of two (2) years employment as a social worker in a Foster Family Agency or other like child welfare agency
- A minimum of two (2) years working with immigrants or refugees
- Shall meet requirements set forth in Section 88264 and 88364 in the ILS
- Knowledge of foster family agency operations
- Expert knowledge of CA State child welfare services regulations
