About the Company
Villages of San Mateo County (VSMC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and is part of a growing national movement of virtual villages across the county dedicated to mobilizing volunteers to support their senior neighbors to age with grace and dignity, maintaining their independence while continuing to live in their homes and the communities they love, and to stay socially connected and active within our VSMC community. We serve a large part of San Mateo County from Millbrae to Menlo Park and from Pacifica to Pescadero. Founded in 2015, we now have over 275 members and 215 volunteers. Our work is largely volunteer driven, with a small staff team of a full-time Executive Director and three
part-time staff: Volunteer Manager, Social Events Manager and Administrative Project Manager. We are at a very exciting point in our organizational development, as we expand our reach and deepen our impact, while building a sustainable organizational base that will ensure VSMC will be a community resource for years to come.
