What is Measure A?


Measure A is an extension of a one-eighth cent sales tax passed by the voters in 2012. It was set to expire in 2023, but Measure A extends the tax on an ongoing basis. If approved, this general sales tax will provide approximately $50 million annually for County services.

What is Measure V?


Measure V is a $450 million affordable housing bond that will make it easier for all residents to afford to live in the City of San Jose. Measure V provides meaningful housing solutions for our community by:

  • Providing affordable housing for working families, veterans, seniors, teachers, nurses, paramedics and other workers.

  • Helping our vulnerable homeless residents get off the streets and transition into safe and permanent housing.

Yes, nonprofits can legally endorse ballot measures!


Nonprofits can support, advocate, and lobby for ballot measures by:

  • Publicly endorsing the ballot measure.

  • Encouraging the public to vote for the ballot measure.

  • Spreading information about the ballot measure through emails, newsletters, op-eds, and phone banking.

  • Donating funds, volunteers and time to the ballot measure campaign.
