Yes! Volunteers help us make the event happen. We need volunteers for Set Up, Registration, General Event Support, and Clean Up. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.  If you would like more information about volunteering and are interested, please fill out this form.

Yes, SVCN may be able to offer up to two discounted ticket per organization if you or your organization is facing financial hardship. Please fill out our scholarship form to be considered.

While there is free parking available on-site, we strongly encourage carpooling, taking public transportation, or ridesharing since the parking lots will fill up. Biking is also encouraged!

Yes, sponsors and those purchasing tables may select a Celebrity Table Captain. Those who purchase individual tickets are not able to select their table captain. The SVCN team makes every attempt to match sponsors and nonprofits purchasing tables with their preferred Celebrity Tables Captains, giving preference to sponsors and those who register early, but we know you will enjoy spending time with any of our Celebrity Table Captains!

Yes! Festive Halloween costumes are highly encouraged. Many of our attendees wear Halloween costumes to the event! We ask that guests be mindful when choosing a costume, avoiding cultural appropriation, culturally insensitive themes, stereotypes related to disability or mental health, costumes that mock someone’s ability, situation, or appearance, or that encourage gendered or sexual violence, as well as depictions of weapons and violence—so that everyone can celebrate in a welcoming and respectful environment. We will be serving lunch, including a vegan option. Please indicate any dietary restrictions you or your guests have when you register.

SVCN is committed to making Be Our Guest safe for attendees. If you are feeling sick on the day of the event, please stay home. We will monitor public health guidelines and update attendees if additional protocols are needed.

The event will be held outdoors, so we recommend bringing sunblock and a hat. October days can still be quite warm.

Yes! Anyone can donate a decorated pumpkin. Simply submit your pumpkin to our entry form in advance.

Purchased pumpkins must be picked up before the luncheon concludes on Friday, October 24. If you are not able to stay until the end of the event, you may designate someone else to pick up your pumpkin on your behalf. As a last option, SVCN staff will make their best effort to coordinate a pickup at the Sobrato Nonprofit Center in San Jose if you are unable to collect your pumpkin on event day.
