Convenings

SVCN convenes various groups to address emerging needs and interests in the nonprofit sector.

HR Workgroup

SVCN, in collaboration with The Health Trust, convenes nonprofit Human Resources professionals and staff who serve significant HR functions, to share resources and assist each other in real world practical application of addressing challenges and emerging regulations. The group meets on Tuesdays at 10am, every other month, and communicates via email and the SVCN Community Slack.

BEST Providers

The City of San Jose's "BEST Providers" consist of dozens of community service providers that offer violence prevention and gang suppression programs. Together, these agencies reach thousands of high-risk and gang-involved youth each year. SVCN provides the group with logistical support, convening opportunities, and policy and advocacy training to best support the goals of the collective.
