Facente Consulting's mission is to support our clients to improve health and wellness by helping them understand, implement, and tell their story. To that end, we provide a wide range of consulting services, including strategic planning, program evaluation, needs assessment, facilitation, qualitative research, and quantitative data analysis, largely but not exclusively in the area public health. We have extensive experience working with nonprofit community-based organizations and their funders, assisting them in various ways achieve to make a positive impact on the communities they reach and serve. We strive to be radically helpful to our clients by listening with humility and being human-centered in our work and the design of our products. We do not deliver "canned" services; every project requires an approach that is tailored to the unique needs and challenges at hand, and is specific to the context in which the nonprofit is operating.

In addition to radical helpfulness to our clients, we have three guiding values: 1) Social Justice: We continuously work to dismantle racist and sexist structures and amplify oppressed voices. We recognize intersectionality and the complexities of the human beings we work with and for. 2) Collective Wisdom: We know we are most effective with more voices sharing wisdom. We center lived expertise in our work and strive to create belonging in partnership with those impacted by our actions. 3) Health Equity: We focus on those most neglected and harmed by current and historical systems. We work to ensure our efforts don’t exacerbate existing inequities by most benefiting those who already have privilege. We prioritize racial justice, DEI, and cultural competency in all aspects of our business and work -- hiring practices, workplace norms, the projects we choose to take on, in-house training opportunities, and the ways we work with our clients. When we conduct evaluations, we ensure program participants' voices are included, using methods such as focus groups, interviews, and surveys. When we facilitate strategic planning processes, we work with the leadership to ensure that diverse perspectives inform the plan, including getting input from staff at all levels of the organization as well as communities and other external stakeholders. Many of our consulting staff have lived expertise relevant to the communities our clients serve.

We operate on a fee basis inclusive of all costs, meaning we do not charge by the hour. This works well for our clients, because we will always deliver top-quality services for the fee we agree on up front, with no hidden or surprise charges. We make every effort to work within your budget, and we prepare project proposals with a range of cost and scope of work options for you to choose from.
