Job Description
California Young World is seeking a dynamic and collaborative leader to serve as Executive Director. The Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors and lead a highly respected, non-profit collective of early care and education centers located in Sunnyvale, CA with an operating budget of approximately $6,000,000.
The ideal candidate will be driven by excellence, be knowledgeable of early childhood best practices, understand State of California Subsidized programs and demonstrate a proven ability to implement and maintain compliance with Title 5 and Title 22 contracts and possess the following characteristics: ▪ Organized, creative, independent, self-motivated ▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ▪ Confidential and customer/client oriented ▪ Professional in performance and demeanor ▪ Computer/technology proficiency and business writing skills ▪ Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines ▪ Strong management skills and commitment to a positive culture for employees, families, and children ▪ Ten or more years of relevant experience
Qualifications ▪ Master Degree required in a relevant area such as early care and education, early intervention, business, public policy, management, etc. ▪ Valid California Program Director Permit desired/preferred ▪ Criminal Record Clearance and LIVE SCAN ▪ Valid California Driver License, reliable transportation and current automobile insurance
