About the Org
CIC Ministries is a non-profit organization established in 1962. We offer spiritual care through the efforts of both professional and volunteer chaplains to individuals incarcerated in Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties. Additionally, we provide chaplain-led reentry services for those recently released in Santa Clara County.
Our Mission: Together, we can share hope every day, with every individual incarcerated or recently released in our county.
Our Vision: As jail chaplains, we meet the spiritual needs of individuals incarcerated in our county.
As reentry chaplains, we bridge the gap between incarceration and reentry by providing chaplain-led reentry services inside and outside of the jails.
We are a community of people from diverse life experiences and spiritual backgrounds united in our call to be with those who are incarcerated and recently released.
We believe every human being has inherent dignity; incarceration doesn’t define an individual’s identity or potential, and transformation and hope grow as we connect to one another and the love of God.
We value self-awareness and humility, learning with the faith communities of our county, laying aside our own agendas, and listening well to ensure no one suffers alone.
