ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a full-time, exempt-level position in Mountain View, California.
SVCF’s work environment is based on a holistic wellness approach and therefore, has embraced a hybrid remote/office work environment. All SVCF team members must be based and hold residency in California and must be able to regularly attend team and staff meetings, trainings and other gatherings in Mountain View when required.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Vice President, Development and Donor Engagement, the Director, Development is responsible for developing, leading and executing Silicon Valley Community Foundation’s charitable fund development and fundraising strategies. The Director will work across SVCF teams to ensure that development goals are met while growing new and existing relationships with a focus on engaging ultra-high-net-worth individuals, professional advisors, corporations and foundations.
The Director will work in close partnership with SVCF Leadership to develop and execute on a fundraising strategy to raise $50M+ annually from new prospects. The Director will also manage a portfolio of two hundred prospective donors with the aim of garnering support for SVCF funds and initiatives and stewarding the donor portfolio accordingly.
