The Health Trust is looking for a Communications Manager to join our team and help us advance our mission to build health equity across the region.
📝 About the Role
The Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of internal and external communications strategies, manage content across platforms, and play a critical role in promoting the voice, mission, and values of The Health Trust. You’ll work across teams and in the community capturing stories, creating impactful content, and shaping how we engage with the public.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
Develop compelling content for web, social media, newsletters, and press releases
Build compelling narratives to promote health equity and recognize our amazing grantee partners
Create engaging collateral including flyers, brochures, reports, videos, and more
Capture photo/video content at events and in the field
Work cross-functionally with internal teams and community partners
Serve as a key point of contact for media, vendors, and consultants
Monitor communications best practices and trends to maximize impact
🧰 What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field
3+ years of experience in communications, preferably in nonprofit or public health
Strong writing and storytelling skills
Experience with tools like Adobe Suite, Canva, WordPress, and email marketing platforms (e.g., MyEmma)
Culturally competent, community-oriented, and a true collaborator
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
